Buy Gold And Silver

For your wedding bands and wedding rings there are lots of metals which you can set for. At first you will consider gold either it is white gold or yellow gold for making a wedding ring or wedding band.

In some countries gold is valued the most auspicious metal among the all metals to make jewelry. It is also because gold is within the budget and also looks very beautiful and suitable for engraving any design. Traditionally wedding rings are made up of gold and silver alloy. But now designers are making rings of platinum and titanium. They are more durable and beautiful than a gold or silver ring. Platinum and titanium rings have a classy look with diamonds setting.

Gold is such a metal which can not lose its aura, its shininess and beauty over the years. Gold, as a metal is a lovely yellow color. Gold is favorable because it is looking good when it is worn and giving the right shape to it is easy and it is also durable.  Pure gold is also very malleable at 24 carats so it is easy to design and shape. However, the best thing about the gold wedding ring is that it is available in different shades, designs and goes well with other metals too. If you want to purchase wedding ring made out of gold then you can quite different, inspiring shades like rose, green and even white gold.

Tungsten wedding bands are a good choice because of durability, quality and cost. Wedding bands made of tungsten have a natural shine and are resistant to scratches and dents. Tungsten is also a pure metal, so a tungsten wedding band is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction on your skin. For active couples, tungsten wedding bands are the way to go.

For men especially titanium wedding bands are very popular. Hammered titanium has a very rugged look and makes many men feel more comfortable about wearing jewelry. For a very masculine ring, take a look at black titanium wedding bands.

For styles you can choose according to your personal desire. Cost depends on the matter that how the design is and what the stones embellishments are there on the ring. If diamond is used then it will expensive the most. But other than diamond people use ruby, Safire and emerald which also looks stunning. All these stones are also expensive but not like diamond. Any special designs with special intricacy and structure need special price. So looking good does not depend on the feature of cost but to some extent it is also true that best in quality and design need best price tag.

You can check online and offline both to have a primary knowledge about wedding bands. And after that you can buy a wedding band which looks good and match your personality and other things too. It should be remembered that the choice of the ring according to your personality is the best choice. So if you pay your attention in that your wedding ring would be the best choice.

Men's wedding band metals; tungsten, palladium, gold, or titanium?
i started looking for a wedding band, i like the dark shiny look of the titanium rings a lot but i guess they cant be resized if your ring size changes during your life, which it almost always does. i wasnt a silver looking band and was thinking about an alternative metal rather than white gold because it kinda looks like crap and loses its silver color after a few years. someone told me palladium dents and scratches easily so i was thinking maybe tungesten, does anyone know if that can be resized? if anyone knows of a good, objective buying guide for metals it would be appreciated. most of the guides ive found either sound unobjective or dont include tungsten and titanium
no, there is a metal called palladium. im not getting platium because like the first person said its horribly expensive and its soft so it dents easily and cheaper stuff looks just as good

I dont know too much about different types, but i can tell you that the rhodium plating on the gold that makes it look white can be redone by your jewelery store a couple times a year. It is usually covered in the warranty, so if that’s all you had against it maybe think again?

also, do you mean platinum? If so, I have been told by several jewelers that platinum is not worth it’s price, as it is so much softer than gold and does stracth and dent so easily.

the tungsten rings are great but they cant be re-sized. it is also unbreakable and if you ever hurt your finger and it swells they can not cut your ring off they will have to cut off your whole finger. if you keep your ring cleaned every six months it will look nice for many years.

Definitely no to gold. It doesn’t stand up to much. My husband has a titanium band. It cannot be resized but it’s also really not all that expensive so if you did end up needing a bigger size, you could always just buy a new one for under $100.

platinum is soft and scratches too…it’s also really expensivel. palladium is more expensive than white gold, but i’ve heard that it’s more scratch resistant that gold.

titanium doesn’t always look dark. my fiance got a ring that is titanium and silver. it is this, except the middle is silver instead of gold

My friend works in a shop and is always getting dirty, he got surgical steel. Throw it in a jewelry cleaner and its looks like brand new white gold.

My husband got Steele. It was very inexpensive and if he wants something fancier later in life, if was not a waste of money! We also thought about the titanium rings, howeever if your finger gets caught, borken, swolen, etc, it can not be cut off by a paramedic (which could result in loss of a finger…)

Platinum isn’t soft- that’s what makes it so expensive. We have platinum and my husband works outside and his ring has held up very well for 7 years- and counting…

My husband has a palladium band and he really likes it. He hasn’t had it all that long, but it is a lot less scratched than mine (which is white gold). Our jeweler said that unless you work with your hands (construction, etc…) a palladium ring is pretty durable.

    Good luck choosing.

I bought my husband a Tungsten carbite wedding band. This is the same material that they make oil drill bits out of. The only problem is it cannot be re-sized. I think for his big fingers (size 14) it cost $180 for the ring. They had to specially make a mold for his ring. They are much cheaper than a lot of other metals.

My husband got steel- it was only $130 and it looks great. I was quite ready and willing to get him platinum, but that’s the ring he liked the most, so that’s the one he got.

Beware of tungsten, etc- if it were to get stuck on your finger, it cannot be cut off. Can be dangerous.

You are right about the titanium not being able to be resized, however tungsten is also the same. White gold is the next best bet for a guy that wants a resizable ring, it does turn slightly yellow over time but this can be corrected by having the ring re-rhodium plated, typically a inexpensive job at a jewelry store. We use to charge $20 at the store I managed. On the flip side, if you like the titanium or tungsten they are pretty inexpensive, so just replace it if necessary, or buy a couple of different sizes when you buy yours. In my experience men’s fingers change less often in size then womens.

My husband’s wedding band is tungsten and he loves it. It is very strong and very difficult to damage and scratch if you can at all. The only downfall is that they cannot be re-sized. They are cut out instead of molded. But, you know what? The size of men’s fingers do not change as much as women’s. I deffinentely recommend tungsten.
