Buy Gold And Silver

This article will tell you a little about mens rings, hope you can find something useful before you decide to buy a mens rings. Enjoy it :-)

Mens Wedding Rings

Mens wedding rings style and model is usually simple. Some of men donâ??t mind (or maybe donâ??t care) what they wear for their wedding. Besides that, thereâ??s a possibility that mens spend a lot of money to buy his bride diamond wedding ring. Bride: â??WOW! That diamond ring looks fantastic, can we buy it honey?â? Groom: â??Sure, go ahead, buy itâ? Bride: â??What about You?â? Groom: â??nah itâ??s ok, I choose a simple one, and I am mechanic anyway; I wonâ??t wear my wedding ring at workâ?

Mens Fashion Rings

Mens fashion rings usually is the opposite of mens wedding ring. Mens wearing fashion ring to attract attention. The models and style is also various and increase rapidly as the culture and lifestyle changes. Unlike womenâ??s rings, you can find many strange and weird styles, from tribal, skull, ring with a club name, ring with a big gemstones, you name it. Mens usually wear a ring to show their identity, status, power, ruggedness, wealth and prosperity.

Mens Rings - In General

Mens rings are usually wider and thicker than womens rings, it makes ring sturdier and have a better durability. In addition, mens prefer ring that looks masculine, easy maintenance and comfortable to use. For comfortable reason, you may buy or ask the designer to make mens rings with a slightly rounded edge to make it comfort to wear.

Mens Rings - The Material

There are many options for ring material, such as gold (which is commonly used, especially for the wedding day), silver, stainless steel, Platinum, titanium and tungsten Carbide.

Gold Ring

If you choose gold mens rings, it is better if you buy 14K gold ring than 18K gold ring, because 14K gold ring is harder and stiffer. One thing you should know if you want to buy white gold ring is they usually plated with rhodium and it will wear off after some period of constant use. You can always replated again with rhodium, but as you know, itâ??s hard to ask men to bring his gold mens rings to the jeweler (but men always have a time to watch football or doing their hobby :-) )

Silver Ring

Silver is quite soft material, it makes designer can easily create many models as they like; hence there is many models you can choose. Mens like silver ring because their relatively low cost; but on the other side they donâ??t like it because itâ??s vulnerable to scratch, dent and it will not shine again after some time. Silver rings are good if you like to change your appearance or your ring frequently.

Stainless Steel Ring

Stainless Steel ring is hard to scratch, hard to dent, the colors good (not easily tarnish and some report it doesnâ??t tarnish at all!), and for the bonus, the price is also affordable. Hmmâ?¦ So what is the disadvantage? Stainless steel ring not so popular because sometimes people embarrassed if the others knew that they donâ??t spend a lot of money for their wedding ring, and stainless steel sounds like a kitchen ware :-) But if you donâ??t care about what people say, and you donâ??t want to spend your money just for the ring, stainless steel is your best choice.

Platinum Ring

Platinum is a white metal, and it looks like white gold ring, but harder, heavier and stronger. Platinum ring is a rare material, that what makes platinum rings so expensive. The advantage of platinum ring is expensive, if you can afford to buy a platinum ring, itâ??s like a bold text say you are rich, and the disadvantage isâ?¦ the price :-) if you want to buy ring that looks like platinum ring, you can buy white gold ring or stainless steel, of course with much cheaper price.

Titanium Ring

Titanium is a hypo-allergenic and corrosion free metal. This material is light weight but strong. Usually the colors of titanium are grey, but thereâ??s also black titanium and some anodized with another color. Mens like titanium ring because â??titaniumâ? sounds cool (at least for me :-) ) and they like the color too.

Tungsten Carbide Ring

Tungsten carbide is the hardest material from all the material that used to make mens rings (8 - 9 Mohs hardness scale, while diamond is 10). If you want scratch resistance ring, tungsten carbide ring is your best choice. Because itâ??s hard, you can wear it anytime anywhere, but one thing to remember, itâ??s like a two sides of coin, if thereâ??s an accident, tungsten carbide is also hard to cut.

Conclusion

There is unlimited choice of style and material for mens rings. When you want to buy mens rings, what you only have to do is choose your own style, choose the material, prepare your budget and donâ??t put your trust 100% to the jeweler, because more expensive does not always mean better.

Where can I go in Boston for the best selection of cubic zirconia rings?
I dont know much about CZ, but I do know that some look better than others. I want a real gold band, but the diamond is intended as a placeholder until we are in a better financial position.

She knows all about it. It was her idea.

Looking for a nice selection of CZ rings that are as quality as they can be. I know its kind of an oxymoron, but I also know other people who have done this sort of thing.

Any help would be appreciated. I want the best CZ that we can get, with a real setting. It cant be fake gold, so the jewler cant be a pure costume jewlery place.

    Thanks in advance!!

Honestly, When i watch QVC or visit their website and they have a collection called Diamonique. The and is real Gold, Platinum or Silver and the stones are Waaaaaaaay better than CZ. Check it out plus they are really reasonable. People would not question if it is real or fake….Hope it helps

Dang, I have a few suggestions but I can’t recall the name of my first one. There is a chain that specializes in high end CZ jewelry in the Boston area. I know there is one in the Burlington Mall, and I think they are in Copley too, as well as other area malls. They are very overpriced IMHO, but their stuff does look good. Depending on how long it might take to make a substitution, this might be a good choice as they truly look real, unlike the TV ones.

That said QVC and all the other TV networks aren’t a bad price. I’d also check out HSN and Jewelry tv JTV. Especially the latter as they have some awesome sales. If you go that route I would make one strong suggestion. All of these have a 30 day return policy. I would take it to a jeweler (a good one) and see if it is a good setting to put a stone in. Some of their settings are very flimsy and would either break while resetting or might not be secure enough for a real stone when you get it. That is a serious concern to your idea. The TV channels often have the cheap prices by not having the best workmanship. I have lost stones from a few rings I bought when I shopped from them, so I am very careful of their jewelry now. That’s why I say have a jeweler confirm it would securely hold a diamond, otherwise I think the risk is too high!

If you have any problems with that, you might want check out the technibond and various designer lines on HSN. It is gold plated and all fake. I am not saying to keep this and reset. But quite often you can find a lovely fake set at a very affordable price. You might want to use this for now and then just get a total new ring when you go for it. This leaves you the freedom to get bigger or smaller when the time comes too. (And no one has to know why she got a new one…hey rings get lost, stolen etc all the time!).

There is the Internation Gem & Jewelry show that comes to Marlborough and a few other halls in MA several times a year. Wish I saved it but one is coming soon–they just sent me a postcard but I chucked it since the timing didn’t work but it’s soon. You do have to pay to get in, but there are discount and free coupons from vendors. There are TONS of jewelers offering everything. Last time I went I got a CZ (but set in marcasite not a wedding style) that looks to be a 2 carat. It is one of the best CZ’s I have seen and when you put it next to a diamond you just can’t tell. It was under $10! They had all sorts of styles, not to mention real stones, most in silver settings. Silly pricing. I would have bought a lot more had we not been in a rush, as it took much sorting. I know several sold findings too, as that is what I was looking for (but for earrings). It’s next week just looked it up! http://www.intergem.com/event/detail.cfm?showID=45

And you can roll the dice and look on Ebay. It is definately a risk BUT there are amazing deals out there. A few years ago I got a tanzanite cluster ring in gold, took it to my jeweler to be sized and to make sure it was what they said it was. We got to chatting and he said he’s sell it in his store for at least $500 (and this was before tanzanite went through the roof). I paid about $60 for it. He was blown away. So I think it’s worth checking out….I made sure to order from someone with perfect feedback and who had been online awhile. I’d bet there are folks who specialize in stuff like this on there.

My last suggestion is to look at all the above sites and any others you can think of but look for a different center stone. Those often are cheaper/affordable and you easily could get a CZ popped in for next to nothing or do it yourself. I think you might get a much higher quality setting than one with a CZ in it. Also remember you don’t want to get too big a CZ as that screams fake. I’d suggest shooting for the 2ct or less range.

I’ll try to find/remember the name of the store and will come back with any other info I can think of (have a couple things in mind but no time to look now).

    FAST EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you check in. I happened to be shopping on Ebay (for me not you lol–even won what I wanted at much less than I hoped for). Anyway in poking around I spotted this & amazingly thought of you right away. Check it out, and if you miss this one they have tons more. (including a few things I’m not considering lol). But this looks lovely, and the stuff is beyond resonable IMHO. I’d look at this and others by this seller.

I have to agree with the above posters and point out you might be best with a TV ring like QVC. My grandmother bought some jewelry there before as basically costume pieces, but they were real gold and real silver and looked very nice, I’d go for that.
